How to use Punjabi Raavi Font in Windows

 

Today I am going to tell you how to use Punjabi Raavi font in windows. As we know raavi fonts are pre-installed on windows operating system. They are inbuilt Punjabi font. But we can’t type in Punjabi directly as we can type with other fonts in word. We have to follow some steps to use these fonts. Now I am telling you all these steps to activate these fonts on your pc having window’s operating system.

1. Go to control panel.

2. Click region and language option.

3. In region and language dialog box click on keyboards and languages tab.

4. In this tab click on the Change Keyboard Option.

5. A new dialog box opens having named as Text Services and named languages. As shown

In this dialog box you can see your default computer language which is installed at the time of installation. You can change or add new language from the given dialog box as number of options are available here. To add a new language as we want to add Punjabi now follows the next step.

6. When you click on add button add input language dialog box appear in which number of different languages appear in it. You just have to search and tick the box appears before the language you want to add. As given.

7. After this click ok and a new language appear in your text services and input languages dialog box as shown in given fig.

8. Click on apply and ok buttons all the dialog box which appear and goes out. Now after this you see a language tab appear on the right side of the taskbar.

From this tab you can change your language as you installed two different languages in your pc now one is English and other one is Punjabi so now you can change your language anytime when you want to type in language whichever you want to type.
