What are the Prerequisites for PF Withdrawal Using Umang App?

Before you can withdraw your PF using Umang App, you need to fulfill some prerequisites. These are:

  • You must have an active UAN (Universal Account Number) linked with your Aadhaar number.
  • Your bank account details must be updated in your EPF account.
  • Your KYC (Know Your Customer) details must be verified by your employer.
  • You must have completed at least two months of service after leaving your job.
  • You must have a valid reason for withdrawing your PF such as retirement, marriage, education, medical emergency, etc.

How to Withdraw PF Using Umang App?

Once you have met the prerequisites, you can follow these steps to withdraw your PF using Umang App:

  1. Open Umang App on your smartphone and login with your mobile number or Aadhaar number.
  2. Tap on EPFO icon under the e-governance category.
  3. Tap on Employee Centric Services option.
  4. Tap on Raise Claim option under the Services section.
  5. Enter your UAN and tap on Get OTP. Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number and tap on Login.
  6. Select the type of claim you want to raise such as Form 31 (Partial Withdrawal), Form 19 (Final Settlement), or Form 10C (Pension Withdrawal).
  7. Fill in the required details such as bank account number, address, reason for withdrawal, etc. and tap on Submit.
  8. You will receive a confirmation message on your screen with a claim reference number. You can use this number to track your claim status later.
